Get Involved

Each year more than 500 BB&N Alumni/ae, parents, and friends support the School by volunteering their time and talents. Below are some of the many ways you can get involved as a BB&N volunteer.

Volunteers Make BB&N Stronger

The BB&N Fund

The BB&N Fund Parent Committee educates parents regarding the value of philanthropy at BB&N, raises awareness of the critical role of The BB&N Fund, and assists the school in reaching its fundraising and participation goals each year.

Together with a 6 person Executive Committee and 2 or more Grade Captains per grade, volunteers educate, inspire, and support other parents in making their participation in The BB&N Fund a part of their BB&N experience. In general, the entire Committee meets twice a year – once in the Fall for training and once in the Spring for a year-end update. Grade Captains spend 3-4 hours a month and this volunteer role is well suited for those who would like a volunteer role that is flexible around work schedules.

If you are interested in learning more about The BB&N Fund Parent Committee, please contact Rebecca Lombardo, Director of The BB&N Fund.

Parents' Association

Become involved in the life of the School, assisting with events and activities, and supporting collaboration between BB&N and families.

For more information on joining the PA, please visit the Parents' Association website, or contact Jocelyn Sand P '11, '13, '16, Parents' Association Liaison.

Alumni/ae Council

The Alumni/ae Council consists of a geographically, individually, and professionally diverse representative group of alumni/ae leaders committed to increasing alumni/ae engagement and participation, strengthening the alumni/ae network, and supporting the school’s strategic goals and priorities.

If you are interested in learning more about the Alumni/ae Council, contact Cecily Craighill Davis, Director of Alumni/ae Programs.

Reunion Committee

As a member of the reunion committee, you have the opportunity to lead your class into the celebration of your milestone year! Help celebrate your classmates’ successes by planning class specific gatherings, share information about the resources that BB&N has to offer our alumni/ae, and help get your class involved in giving  back to the BB&N community by volunteering their time or philanthropic support.

For more information on joining a committee, contact:
5th Reunion Class - Brianna Smith '10, Assistant Director of Alumni/ae Programs
15th-20th Reunion Classes - Kate Radlauer, Associate Director of The BB&N Fund
25th-45th Reunion Classes - Roger Fussa, Development Officer
50th Reunion and beyond - Cecily Craighill Davis, Director of Alumni/ae Programs

Senior Parents' Gift Committee

Each year, parents of BB&N seniors undertake a special fundraising effort to leave a legacy gift to the School. As a class, they designate their collective gifts to an endowed fund or capital project recommended by the School and approved by the Senior Parents' Committee.

If you are a parent of a Senior in the 2018-2019 school year and would like to learn more about this volunteer opportunity, please contact Whitney Dayton Brunet P'30, '32 Senior Development Officer.
