Jon Sheehan

Htfc
Coach Sheehan, entering his first year as Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams, brings years of experience coaching at the high school level and competing collegiately. Before joining BB&N Athletics, he served for 12 seasons as Assistant Coach of Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track at Catholic Memorial School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. During his tenure, Coach Sheehan coached several teams to state-wide success and several athletes to the national level, including a National Runner-Up in the Men’s 5000m at New Balance Nationals. As a graduate of Bates College and a member of their Cross Country and Track teams, he is proud to have several of his former athletes competing at NCAA Division I, II, and III schools. His coaching philosophy combines the belief that a rising tide lifts all boats and that dedicated, individual relationships foster a stronger, more unified team. He is looking forward to working with a fantastic crew of assistant coaches and elevating the BB&N Track & Field programs.

Coach O’Rourke restarted the Boys and Girls Track teams after a 10-year hiatus and they had immediate success in the competitive ISL. In the first two years of their return as a team, the Boys Team has broken every school and looks to continue that success in the future and emulate the successes of Peter Lichtenberger ’23 and Kitso Paulson ’25.
