Paige Kemezis

Science Teacher, Coach
Coach Kemezis joined BB&N in 2017 and became head softball coach in 2018. This will be her ninth season at the helm, her eleventh as a head coach, and fifteenth year coaching. A graduate of Ohio University, she lettered in softball for four years, where her passion for the sport, chemistry, and teaching grew. While pursuing a Master’s in Teaching Secondary Chemistry at Boston College, Coach K coached varsity softball (2012-2013) and JV ice hockey (2012-2013) at Nobles, which led her to the NEPSAC and ISL schools. From 2013-2017, she taught Chemistry and coached varsity softball and ice hockey at Tabor Academy, where she was head softball coach from 2014-2017. Coach K was drawn to BB&N for its strong academic and athletic balance. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes fun and hard work, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and healthy competition. The softball team encourages each other to work hard and support one another, maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere. The team looks forward to continuing BB&N’s tradition of dedication and teamwork.

2023 GVS Season Recap

BB&N is a part of the Independent School League (ISL), which offers 10 games a season of competitive softball year in and year out. Other, non-league, games that fill out the schedule are played against top New England prep school competition, including Phillips Academy (Andover) and Phillips Exeter Academy.

The softball program is coming off another successful season in 2023 with a 9-9 record overall and 5-4 in the IS.  Highlights included going undefeated (5-0) at our new home at Grove Street and winning in extra innings over Exeter in the Big East tournament. We will miss our three senior captains, but their legacy will live on in the seasons to come.
