2023 Season Recap

The 2023 season started off strong in Flordia playing on their manicured courses. Led by captains Neel Scherfke ’23, Henry Krik ’24, and Anna Chrysa Maravelias kept the morale high throughout the season. Kirk even earned an exemption to Mass. Junior Amateur. We’re looking forward to another successful 2024 season!

BB&N golf plays in the highly competitive Independent School League. We have the fortune of playing our home matches at Belmont Country Club. The Varsity will carry 10-12 students with 7 or 8 being fielded per match depending on what type of match we are playing. Different from the publics, the ISL plays match play and our season is in the Spring – as opposed to the Fall. Each year before the golf matches start, we take a trip to Florida in mid-March during Spring Break. The trip consists of playing 6 days at many fine golf courses while supplementing range work at The PGA Village in Port St Lucie.

Our golf season starts in April. Matches are played against other ISL teams such as Belmont Hill, Nobles & Greenough, Governor’s Academy, St George’s, and many other great schools. Throughout the season, student golfers will play match play against one or two other schools per outing.
