Soccer – Girls Varsity

At BB&N, the girls soccer program trains and demands every player to be technically and tactically sound. We overlay this with a strong emphasis on developing a cohesive team approach to each practice and game.

Hayley Katkowski

Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach

Coach Hayley Katkowski leads the BB&N GVS team with her experience of coaching elite club soccer at FC Stars of Massachusetts and previously, as an assistant coach for the Bedford Varsity Girls program for two seasons (2021, 2022). She focuses on player development, motivational leadership, and the importance of each player in the collective team. Originally from Westford, MA, Coach Katkowski played at Rutgers University where she was a four-year starter and three-year captain on the women’s soccer team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in sports management in 2015. While there, she was recognized by the Big East Conference, American Athletic Conference, and Big Ten Conference with preseason and postseason honors from 2012-2015. As a senior, Coach Katkowski led Rutgers to the program’s first-ever Final Four College Cup appearance in 2015. Post college, she played professionally for the Boston Breaker reserves and overseas for the FC Slovacko’s Women’s team in the first division in the Czech Republic and for Sandviken IF in Sweden. She holds a USSF Class B license.

Season Recaps

BB&N’s Girls Soccer program has produced numerous talented players and winning seasons. The Knights have been ISL Champions for five consecutive years from 2021-2025 and NEPSAC Champions in 2022, 2021, and 2019.

Five players from the 2025 team are playing D1 soccer. BB&N has sent players to Duke, UNC, Dartmouth, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Boston College, Holy Cross, UPENN, Amherst College, Hamilton College, the University of New Hampshire, the University of Vermont, Howard University, and Lafayette, among others. Kayla Duran ’18 plays in the National Professional Women’s Soccer League for FC Gotham.

The 2025 team went 12-3-3, including winning the “Cowbell Game” against rival Noble & Greenough. Addy Kalaw ’26 was awarded the ISL Offensive MVP. Aubrielle Amaral ’26, Addy Kalaw ’26, Rosie Angelone ’26 and Hope McMillin ’26 were named to the All ISL Team. Delaney Jones ’26 and Kate Sullivan ’27 were awarded ISL Honorable Mention. Kalaw and McMillin were also awarded ALL NEPSAC and Amaral NEPSAC Honorable Mention.
