Spain

Over Spring Break, twenty Upper School students took part in an unforgettable exchange trip to Spain, led by BB&N faculty. In Barcelona, they toured landmarks like Parc Güell and the Sagrada Familia, joined a cooking class, and explored the city’s street art. In Madrid, students stayed with host families, attended classes, and connected with peers at BB&N’s sister school, Las Rozas. Highlights included the Prado Museum, a flamenco class, the Real Madrid Stadium, and a visit to Toledo. The exchange continued when Las Rozas students visited BB&N for ten days.

Meanwhile, Middle School students explored sites like Chichén Itzá, gaining insight into the enduring legacy of the Maya. Faculty on the trip noted how students stepped out of their comfort zones to use Spanish, try new foods, and engage meaningfully with the culture. The trip was about more than sightseeing—it was a deep dive into living history.
