Seniors Commit to Their Athletic and Academic Futures

By BB&N May 16, 2023

The Nicholas Athletic Center was full of promise, accolades, and just a few college sweatshirts on Friday, May 5th when some senior athletes participated in “Signing Day.” A much-anticipated event in high school athletics, students put pen to paper to commit their intent to play their sport and continue their education at a college or university. Twenty students signed for 17 schools in 9 sports.

BB&N All-Stars and decorated athletes celebrated their triumphs and futures including three-time NEPSAC and two-time ISL champions in girls’ varsity soccer, Ava Venuti (John’s Hopkins University), Frankie Valverde (Dartmouth College), and Abby Giradano (Lafayette College). The BB&N football team boasted an impressive seven students who signed including dual athlete Tyler Robbins (Union College) for football and lacrosse. After posting their 18th straight winning record in the 2022 season, it’s no wonder so many members of the team are continuing in college.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these student-athletes. Thank you to all of the coaches, parents, and peers that got these seniors to this momentous day.
