Upper School

Advisory Program

At BB&N’s Upper School, every student is assigned a faculty advisor.

The goals of the advisory program are to help facilitate personal growth, academic achievement, and to promote the social-emotional well-being of the students. Advisory groups meet twice a week. By focusing on the holistic development of students, advisors help them to develop academically, connect socially, and balance the day to day demands of high school. The advisor-student connection provides various opportunities for students to engage with their peers in a small group setting. Through these interactions, students gain the confidence, knowledge, and skills to take on active and productive roles in the larger BB&N community.

Individualized Support

The advisory program provides a supportive and interconnected system for each student’s journey through the Upper School. By providing consistent interactions between advisors and advisees, the program helps to develop the formation of meaningful relationships among students. Advisors play a crucial role as advocates for their advisees, ensuring that every student feels supported, appreciated, and heard.
