Representation in the curriculum is essential to cultivating an inclusive learning experience for every individual. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or on the stage, BB&N values a diverse and inclusive community that fosters respect for the identities and perspectives of all.
BB&N provides equitable learning opportunities and ensures all students feel a sense of belonging in the classroom in Grades B-12. Opportunities are integrated for identity exploration, investigation into contemporary issues, and highlighting of marginalized voices. The DEIG office actively works with faculty to connect course content to community issues, both locally and globally. At BB&N, DEIG isn’t an aside or an extra-curricular activity; it’s one of the guiding principles for what and how we teach.
