Sixth-Graders “Let it Go” in Spring Musical
It may be close to summer, but the sixth grade didn’t let the warmth bother them as they put on a snow-covered production of Disney’s Frozen Jr. Directed by Lower School drama teacher Jenny Lifson and music teacher Jenna Havelin students sang and danced their way to a rousing rendition of one of Disney’s most beloved animated movies.
The show follows Anna and her icy sister Elsa as they navigate coming of age, newfound responsibilities, and of course, love. Accompanied by a lovable trio including Olaf, an animated snowman, and Kristoff and his reindeer Sven, Anna and her friends set off on an adventure to bring back Elsa and summer after she freezes the town in an eternal winter. Will true love prevail, or will Arendelle be frozen forever?
From learning the meaning of “hygge” to building a snowman, the students put on an uplifting production that left the audience singing “Let it Go” all the way home.
