Celebrating the Magic of Friendship at 71st Circus
The threat of rain couldn’t stop the festivities at the Lower School last weekend as the community gathered for the 71st circus. From bounce castles and cotton candy to a magic performance and bubble ball course, the latest installment of Circus was a crowd-pleaser!
To start the event, students had the opportunity to wander around, trying the obstacle course, bounce castles, cotton candy, and even dunk a 6th-grader in the dunk tank. Beginning promptly at 11:30, the stage was bustling with performances from BB&N students. This year, the lineup included a violin duet, singing solos, a keyboard performance, a dance, and a Taekwondo showcase.
After a tasty lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs provided by the incredible BB&N dining services, magician David Garrity demonstrated all sorts of illusions, enlisting students to help with his act. Two parents even got to help out in Garrity’s Houdini-esque escape from locked bindings.
One thing is for certain, every person left the fair with a sense of magic and wonderment. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this day a success, especially all of the wonderful parent volunteers, without whom the event would not have been possible.
