Donor Recognition

BB&N’s donor recognition and stewardship programs provide an opportunity for the School to demonstrate its appreciation to all donors for their philanthropic support which represents an investment in the School's present and future. Opportunities to recognize and thank our donors include BB&N's annual Report of Giving which lists all donors during the fiscal year  regardless of gift amount or purpose unless anonymity has been requested.

Additionally, BB&N's donor societies described below are recognized in the Report of Giving based on their level or consistency of support.

1974 Leadership Society

1974 Leadership Society members play a critical role in the success of BB&N year after year, providing the school with a strong base of philanthropic support. This community of parents, alumni/ae, grandparents, and friends of BB&N believe that their investment in the School is one of the most important they can make for the future. The name celebrates the union in 1974 of Browne & Nichols and Buckingham - it was their traditions of excellence that formed Buckingham Browne & Nichols School - and it is your generosity that makes BB&N what it is today.

Young Alumni/ae 1974 Leadership Society

The BB&N alumni/ae network consists of more than 6,000 individuals who share knowledge, experience, and history. However, it is YOU - our Young Alumni/ae Leadership donors - who are our future. By joining the 1974 Young Alumni/ae Leadership Society you will be part of a community that can significantly impact the power of a BB&N education. By making the choice to support BB&N at the Leadership Level, you will not only be investing in BB&N’s future, you will also be investing in your own.

The Knights' Circle

The Knights' Circle is a loyalty society that honors the continued support of parents, alumni/ae, grandparents, faculty, and staff who have made gifts to BB&N for five or more consecutive years. Consistent giving helps BB&N sustain the excellence of our academic programs, attract talented faculty, and connect students to Cambridge and beyond. Knights' Circle members are the foundation of BB&N and share a commitment to shaping the future of the School.

The Almy Society

The Almy Society is BB&N's opportunity to express appreciation and recognition to individuals and families who have provided for the future of BB&N through their estate plans. Almy Society members join a long and valued tradition of legacy support for BB&N, following in the footsteps of former trustees and benefactors Charles and Elizabeth Almy who generously gave their residence to the School through their estate. For more information, visit our Planned Giving Page
