How to pick a college during a global pandemic

I’m a senior trying to decide how to make a college decision when the campuses of my accepted colleges are closed. What do I do?

  • Consult with your college counselor! You can email questions as they arise or set up a video conference after March 31st. (Stay tuned for virtual appointment “binders!”)

  • Reach out to friends, classmates, and acquaintances at your accepted colleges to ask questions about what it’s like to attend.

  • Take a virtual tour of your college through the college’s website and follow monitor your accepted college’s social media page for updates. (See the above links for great virtual tour websites.)

  • Set up a family meeting to discuss financial aid packages at each school to determine the yearly cost of attendance. Consult your college counselor for help!
