OK. Take a deep breath. We got you.
Select the tabs below to find out more about the programs we offer.

You never need to worry about getting your child into After Care... Your child will always have a spot in After Care should he/she want. We will continue to provide the same great coverage from dismissal to 5:30 each day. We will not run out of space in After Care... EVER!

As a result, and in order to ease the congestion of registering on Opening Day, we now have 2 Opening Days.. one for ASAP and one for After Care. Where ASAP classes are limited and we often have waitlists, there is never any worry about getting into After Care. Register with ease and with no stress on After Care Opening Day and know that your child will be accepted in the After Care program for any and all days that you want/need!

We are very excited to welcome back our fabulous After Care Team this coming school year! Janine Cozier will continue as Lead Teacher of After Care supported by Cathy Ahern-Trecco, Amy Mcguire, Ellen Wilber, and joining us from Summer Camp... Andy Bruce !!

Our regular After Care program offers children in Beginners through Grade 6 a balance of organized and free-play activities that provide a pleasant, comfortable, and less structured afternoon experience. Activities include free play, games, art, stories, computer time, and a quiet place for homework with After Care students grouped according to grade level and is available for all Lower School students, Beginners through Grade 6 from 3:00-5:30 PM (2:00-5:30 PM on Wednesdays) during the school year. After Care is only available when school is in session for a full day. After Care is NOT available on half days of school.

After Care is only available when school is in session for a full day. After Care is NOT available on half days of school. After Care is offered on a per semester basis although a daily rate can be purchased. Each semester coincides with the half way point of the BB&N academic calendar.

Grades: B, K, 1

Upon school dismissal in the Morse Building, students in Beginners, Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be guided by their teacher to the Morse Building Music Room. These students will be gathered together and an initial roster taken before being escorted to the Bridgman House by the After Care Teachers. The Bridgman House is the home of After Care for these younger students enabling them to enjoy their very own space designed just or them. Children will be provided a snack and time to transition from the school day to the after care day. The day will progress informally with game play, crafts, activities, and outside time in the form of supervised free play. Children in this group should be picked up by parents/guardians in the Bridgman House no later than 5:30 PM each night. Access to the Bridgman House after 5:00 PM will be from around the Morse Building via the outdoor side gate to the left of the Morse Building.

Grades: 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6

Upon school dismissal in the Brick Building, the older students registered for After Care, (in grades 2 through grade 6), will be permitted to walk unescorted to the Brick Building Community Room (BBC). The BBC will be the home of After Care for all of our older students where they will be able to take advantage of the larger space of the Community Room but also have access to the library and its computers. All rooms will be monitored and use of any/all rooms will be dependent upon student need and proper supervision. After roster is taken, students will enjoy a snack and then be able to choose from an assortment of games, crafts, quiet library time, homework, and possible computer time. At the end of the first hour, these older children will merge with the younger After Care children by meeting on the playgrounds for outside play time. If a child prefers, he or she may stay outside to play or go inside the Bridgman House to continue homework or play board games.

After Care is only available when school is in session for a full day. After Care is NOT available on half days of school. After Care is offered on a per semester basis although a daily rate can be purchased. Each semester coincides with the half way point of the BB&N academic calendar.

In addition, a child that is not picked up at dismissal time in a timely manner (within 15 minutes of dismissal time) will be charged the Daily Rate for After Care regardless of the amount of time that child spends in After Care.

Mud Weeks

  • What: Mud Weeks mark the end of the semester for ASAP classes. There are no ASAP classes offered during Mud Weeks. But... we always have After Care available and families may purchase After Care Dailies during these weeks if they need child care coverage.
  • When: Mud Week is the week marking the end of each semester. Winter Mud Week is the same week that MLK falls on in January while Spring Mud Week is the same week that Memorial Day falls on in May.

* We are no longer offering special programming during Mud Weeks.
