Our regular After Care program offers children in Beginners through Grade 6 a balance of organized and free-play activities that provide a pleasant, comfortable, and less structured afternoon experience. Grades: B, K, 1

Upon school dismissal in the Morse Building, students in Beginners, Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be guided by their teacher to the Morse Building Music Room. These students will be gathered together and an initial roster taken before being escorted to the Bridgman House by the After Care Teachers. The Bridgman House is the home of After Care for these younger students enabling them to enjoy their very own space designed just or them. Children will be provided a snack and time to transition from the school day to the after care day. The day will progress informally with game play, crafts, activities, and outside time in the form of supervised free play. Children in this group should be picked up by parents/guardians in the Bridgman House no later than 5:30 PM each night. Access to the Bridgman House after 5:00 PM will be from around the Morse Building via the outdoor side gate to the left of the Morse Building.

    Grades: 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6

Upon school dismissal in the Brick Building, the older students registered for After Care, (in grades 2 through grade 6), will be permitted to walk unescorted to the Brick Building Community Room (BBC). The BBC will be the home of After Care for all of our older students where they will be able to take advantage of the larger space of the Community Room but also have access to the library and its computers. All rooms will be monitored and use of any/all rooms will be dependent upon student need and proper supervision. After roster is taken, students will enjoy a snack and then be able to choose from an assortment of games, crafts, quiet library time, homework, and possible computer time. At the end of the first hour, these older children will merge with the younger After Care children by meeting on the playgrounds for outside play time. If a child prefers, he or she may stay outside to play or go inside the Bridgman House to continue homework or play board games.

    Social Dance Bridge

Social Dance Bridge - Social Dance Kids can “bridge” the gap between school dismissal and the start of Social Dance by registering for Social Dance Bridge. Once children are dismissed from school, 5th graders report to the Brick Building Community Room to “check in” and have a snack. Children will then choose between doing quiet homework in the library or playing outside (weather permitting). Social Dance Bridge kids will be supervised by the After Care Teachers and will be absorbed into the After Care Program. Social Dance Bridge is provided ONLY on "Social Dance” days (TBD). Children will work/play from 2:00 until 3:00 and then begin rotating into the bathrooms to change. At 3:30 an After Care Teachers will walk the children to the Armenian Church for their dance lesson at 3:45. Pre-registration is required. If your child is already registered for an After School Program this semester on Wednesdays, he/she does not have to register for, or pay for, Social Dance Bridge. Children may join us from After Care or after their ASAP class dismisses to change into dance clothes and be escorted to the church.

Bus students will be given a snack after "check in" and encouraged to participate in the activities of After Care. The younger students will enjoy the activities and games in the Bridgeman House while the older students will be encouraged to make use of the library to complete homework or play quiet board games in the Community Room. All bus students (regardless of grade) will be escorted by the After Care teacher to meet the bus. No additional registration or fees are required. Fee: No additional fee required
