Lower and Middle Schools Kick Off the Year with Fun

Both the Middle and Lower Schools marked the start of their years with some festivities to mark the first week of school.

At the Lower School, students gathered in their BB&N t-shirts for an opening assembly on the field. After a welcome by Lower School director Anthony Reppucci, all of the new faculty and teaching interns took turns introducing themselves, including Head of School Dr. Price. During her introduction, Price communicated some vital information to the young students, noting: “There’s only one thing you need to know about me, I don’t just have one dog, I have three!” Students were then pleasantly surprised by a teacher-performed, musical skit with costumes included.

At the Middle School, students, teachers, and many parents celebrated the start of their year with the annual ice cream social. Students flooded the courtyard and green to enjoy the make-your-own sundae stands and celebrate their first week of classes. Sponsored by the Parents Association, the event allowed everyone at the campus an opportunity to relax, renew acquaintances, and of course, eat some delicious ice cream.
