Grade 2 Explores Robotics

For the second annual Robot Extravaganza, Grade 2 students spent the three days before Thanksgiving break planning and building their own robots using classroom materials and the Thinker Lab. On Tuesday, November 21, a visitor from Boston Dynamics came to speak to the students about the different robots the company is building, and highlighted the importance of failure as a part of the process, teamwork, and collaboration. Students had the opportunity to see one of Boston Dynamics’ robots –RHex –in person and took turns driving it with a remote control.
