BB&N’s Upper School and Middle School students are participating in the Global Education Benchmark Group (GEBG’s) student dialogues, where they discuss the United Nation’s Sustainability Goals. These goals vary from promoting peace through responsible production and consumption, to gender equality.

This week, Russian Teacher Josh Walker offered several forums for students and faculty to come together and process the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine.

Preparing their climbing gear at the base of a towering pine tree on BB&N’s Lower School, arborists Remy Lee and Josh Snyder encountered something unusual in their field of work: a cheering section.

In a move that has The Boston Globe quaking in its boots, BB&N’s Lower School has jumped into the newspaper business! The Buckingham Times launched this year to much acclaim on the 12 Buckingham campus.

Upper School musicians kicked off the winter season in style with a series of concerts which showcased the melodic talent ringing from every BB&N classroom.

Talking about a big sisters, a grandparents, and other family members, BB&N fifth graders brought a touch of their own history to the Lower School community before winter break in a Celebration of Ancestry and Traditions assembly.

As a celebration of Spanish heritage month this year, BB&N eighth graders examined contemporary expressions of Hispanic culture in Mexican street art. Studying four principal artists, students in Jennifer Ridge’s Middle School Spanish class were inspired to create their own wall tiles in the style of a chosen artist.

Ford and his fellow Habitat volunteers were among 150 students who engaged with the greater community, either on or off campus, during the Afternoon of Service, held at the end of each athletic season.

Tackling the classic "who dunnit?" theme, this fall's Middle School play featured humor, plot twists, and audience participation.  The play, Exit Stage Death, tells the story of a night at the theater gone dramatically wrong. When a murder occurs, the mystery of who did it takes center stage, with the culprit being determined by the audience itself.

After a pandemic-imposed hiatus last year, a jubilant Singers’ Cabaret returned to the Chorale Room for an evening of performances by nine Upper School students.

Featuring big crowds throughout the weekend, BB&N celebrated the Head of the Charles weekend in grand style this year. With impressive performances on the river for Sunday's race, a lovely alumni/ae gathering on Saturday evening, and beautiful weather for both days, everyone in attendance enjoyed the event.

Taking full advantage of the BB&N's Lower School location, Grade Four students recently embarked on a variety of walking field trips to explore the different natural and urban landscapes in the area.

The raucous cheers echoing around the Upper School Nicholas Athletic Center said it all; after a one-year hiatus due to COVID, the Knighting Ceremony was back!
