BB&N competes as a member of the competitive ISL (Independent School League) and NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Conference), playing many of the top schools in New England. The Boys Lacrosse program prides itself on developing student-athletes in the classroom, on the field, and in the broader community. Through core values of character, accountability, & selflessness, the lacrosse program at BB&N ensures that student-athletes who enter the program leave well rounded individuals, who can excel at the next level academically and athletically.
Alums of the BB&N Lacrosse Program have attended the following Colleges and Universities: UPenn, Duke, Colgate, Hobart, Holy Cross, Williams, Bowdoin, Amherst, Middlebury, Wesleyan, Union, Skidmore and more.
Head CoachCoach Morton is one of the most accomplished coaches in the ISL throughout his tenure. A graduate of BB&N, Coach Morton matriculated to Bowdoin College, and on to Lesley College for his M.Ed before returning to BB&N. Coach Morton brings a wealth of experience as both an alum of the program and Head Coach. His experience at BB&N and in the ISL over the years has produced numerous collegiate athletes and put BB&N on the map in the competitive N.E. Prep lacrosse world. In addition to coaching lacrosse at BB&N, Coach Morton is the Upper School Dean of Students and an English teacher.
Associate Head Coach
Mike Derrenberger comes to BB&N after spending the last 4 seasons as the Assistant Boy's Lacrosse Coach at Pine Crest Preparatory School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Before Pine Crest Coach Derrenberger spent 3 seasons coaching collegiate lacrosse at Connecticut College and Manhattanville College. Coach Derrenberger earned his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University and also holds his MBA from Lynn University. His experience at both levels gives him the ability to help players transition from playing in high school, to top level lacrosse. In addition his coaching connections to the collegiate game help current players find the school that fits them best for both their academic and athletic careers.
