Supporting the Endowment

A school, by definition, is about the future – about the potential of its students and of challenges and opportunities yet to come. Yet that future, by definition, is unknowable.

Our Challenge: Building a Foundation for the Future

$6 million in unrestricted endowment funds to prepare us for the future

To prepare BB&N for whatever the future holds – to withstand economic fluctuations, to invest in crucial new technologies, to seize exciting new opportunities for physical or intellectual growth – the school requires the flexibility that can only be achieved through a substantial increase in unrestricted endowment funds.

BB&N's low endowment and endowment per student, particularly compared to our peer schools, creates significant pressure on other sources of income such as tuition and annual giving to support our operating and programmatic needs.

“I am very proud of the BB&N heritage in our family. My core education was delivered at BB&N. I hope that the example that we set in making a gift will be a model to you all, for this is a great institution that deserves your support.”
