It has truly been a pleasure to have had the opportunity to chair BB&N’s Opening Minds Campaign over the past three years and to be able to help us “finish strong” during this current final year of the Campaign.
The 2009-10 fiscal year proved to be a challenging one for many organizations engaged in capital campaigns, including BB&N. However, we were extremely gratified to receive a number of very generous new commitments for the endowment priorities of our Opening Minds Campaign, including several to establish new named funds for faculty, financial aid, and academic programs.
We were also thrilled to announce that 100% of Parents of the Class of 2010 participated in the Senior Parents’ Gift Program which supported both faculty and financial aid endowment. Additionally, 100% of Sixth Grade parents responded to their class appeal to support an endowment fund for Lower School Faculty.
As we move into the Campaign’s final year, we look forward to meeting and speaking with many more members of the BB&N community to invite your participation in this endeavor. Your generosity will help us raise our final $4.3 million in endowment toward the Campaign’s $62 million goal to support our talented and dedicated faculty and the students they teach, coach, and mentor every day. Together, I have no doubt that we will “finish strong.”
