Our Donors: Senior Parents’ Gift

Under the leadership of Senior Parents’ Gift Co-Chairs Lisa and Bill Aulet, Erin and Ken Baumgartner, Cynthia Joseph, and a large committee of parent volunteers, the Class of 2010 Senior Parents’ Gift raised $801,103 to support BB&N’s capital and annual giving priorities.

The Class Gift included $192,400 to establish the Class of 2009 Parents’ Fund for Faculty Salary, Professional Development, and Financial Aid Endowment; $507,530 for other capital/endowment initiatives, and $101,173 for the Annual Fund and other areas of the operating budget. We are particularly thrilled that 100% of Senior Parents participated in this special fund-raising program as an opportunity to show their appreciation to BB&N for the exceptional educational experience provided to their children.

Ten BB&N seniors were named National Merit Finalists last year. As former Upper School Director Jack Knapp noted, “To have one of every 12 students in the Class of 2010 be named a National Merit Finalist must surely represent one of the highest percentages for any school in the country.”
