We are very excited to welcome back Steve Mirasola in his 7th year at BB&N summer camp! Steve began working with us at camp as a junior life guard and worked his way to Head Life Guard which is where you would have seen him each summer for the past 5 summers. Steve will return as Head Life Guard this summer but will take one week off from the pool to run the New Wrestling Camp! During the regular school year, and for the past 5 years, Steve is both a teacher and a Wrestling Coach in the Melrose Public School system. He brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the camp, and he is eager to get the wrestling program off the ground this summer with an exciting lineup of activities and skills training.
Wrestling Camp is a five day camp with each day following a similar schedule. There will be a skill session in the morning from 9-11, which will focus on the individual player. The campers will then have a sport specific training program, lunch, and slip n' slide/pool from 11-1. The afternoon portion will run from 1-3, and will consist of match situational drills and scenerios. It promises to be a fast paced and exciting week of wrestling.

What to Bring: Lunch is provided! Sports Academy Campers should wear appropriate sport specific attire. Campers play regardless of weather so please plan accordingly. Wrestling Campers should bring their own Head Gear and wear comfortable wrestling clothes (spandex or shorts and a t-shirt). Wrestling shoes are suggested if you have them, but sneakers are fine as well. Sneakers are suggested for all as time may be spent in the weight room as well.
Options: Both Early Morning and Extended Day Options are available to Sports Academy Campers. Any camper not enrolled in the Early Morning program who is dropped off prior to 8:30AM will be placed into the Early Morning program and charged the Daily Rate. Any camper that is not picked up on time will be placed into the Extended Day program and charged the Daily Rate.
Early Morning Option (Grades Pre-K thru Grade 8) This option is available to all campers on a weekly or daily basis. Early Morning runs from 7:30-8:30AM with breakfast offered daily. Registration for Early Morning will not be available until 1 June of this coming camp year. We will not run out of space in this program. There is no limitation on the number of campers permitted to enroll in Early Morning so there is no need to register and/or pay for this option prior to 1 June or before your plans/schedules are confirmed. Online registration for this option will be available from 1 June through the end of the summer. You may register at any time after 1 June, and up until the camp day needed for coverage. We do require that you pre-register for this option before dropping your child off at camp in the morning. Please ensure your plans are firm prior to registering for this option as there are no refunds or exchanges for this item if unused. This is a new policy this year and in order to provide the greatest flexibility to families, we no longer can offer refunds or exhcanges for this item if it is not used. This item is non-refundable AND non-transferrable to any other day/option/item/camper. Daily $15 / Weekly $65
Extended Day Option (Grades Pre-K thru Grade 8) This option is available to all campers on a weekly or daily basis. Extended Day runs from 3:30-5:30PM with a snack offered daily. The extended day program ends promptly at 5:30PM. Pick up must be made by this time. You will be charged for an additional Extended Day based up on the Daily Rate for each half hour (or fraction thereof) for each camper that is picked up after 5:30PM. Registration for Extended Day will not be available until 1 June of this coming camp year. We will not run out of space in this program. There is no limitation on the number of campers permitted to enroll in Extended Day so there is no need to register and/or pay for this option prior to 1 June or before your plans/schedules are confirmed. Online registration for this option will be available from 1 June through the end of the summer. You may register at any time after 1 June, and up until the camp day needed for coverage. If you have a last minute need (after noon on the day of coverage), please register online and follow up with a call to the Camp Office to ensure we have your child accounted for in this program.
