Counselor-in-Training: Grades 8-9

The Counselor-in-Training Program (CIT) is a weeklong day camp for all boys and girls entering grades 8-9. Grade determination is based on the grade the camper will be entering after camp/summer is complete. The program coincides with our Classic Day Camp weeks. The CIT Program is offered for all children who would like to assist in our Day Camp Program (CIT positions are not available for our other camp programs). CITs may register for any of the Day Camp Weeks (Weeks 1-8) but must be enrolled in at least two consecutive Day Camp weeks. CITs are not allowed to enroll in more than four weeks per summer as a CIT.

CITs receive individual and group instruction gaining first-hand experience working under the guidance of our staff. CITs will be assigned to either a group or a creative activity making significant contribution to a camper's experience.

Grade Level: Grade 8 to Grade 9 (grade determination is based on the grade the camper will be entering in Sept after the completion of the summer)

 

Hours: 8:30AM – 3:30PM

 

Location: BB&N Upper School, #80 Gerry's Landing Road, Cambridge MA. CITs should check in with their Head Counselor at the start of each day in the Stone's Street Lounge inside the Athletic Center.

Camp Wk 2: July 2 - July 6 (Camp Closed July 4th)

Camp Wk 3: July 9 - July 13

Camp Wk 4: July 16 - July 20

Camp Wk 5: July 23 - July 27 

Camp Wk 6: July 30 - Aug 3

Camp Wk 7: Aug 6 - Aug 10

Camp Wk 8: Aug 13 - Aug 17

 

 

What to Bring:Lunch and snacks provided! Towels provided!

 

CITs should bring a bathing suit, sneakers, and weather appropriate clothing.

No flip flops please.

 

Options: Both Early Morning and Extended Day Options are available to CIT Campers. Any camper not enrolled in the Early Morning program who is dropped off prior to 8:30AM will be placed into the Early Morning program and charged the Daily Rate. Any camper that is not picked up on time will be placed into the Extended Day program and charged the Daily Rate.
