Camp Weeks 1-8, and our Sports Academy are hosted at our Upper School Campus at
80 Gerry's Landing Road, Cambridge, MA 02138.
Drop Off and Pick Up details for Early Morning (7:30am) and Extended Day (5:30) are as follows: All Early Morning and Extended Day campers should be dropped off and picked up at the ATHLETIC CENTER!
Drop Off and Pick Up details are as follows for Regular drop off (8:30am) and Regular pick up (3:30):
Pre-Camp and Post-Camp ONLY: (This is for Pre-Camps Week 1 and 2, Post Camp Week 1 and 2). Pre Camp and Post Camp is hosted on our Lower School Campus (LS) on 10 Buckingham Street, Cambridge, MA (NOT on Gerry's Landing Road). This is a residential area. Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not turn around or block our neighbors' driveways at any time.
"Live" pick up and Drop off line: We will have a "live" drop off and pick up line organized at the Lower School (LS) for our Pre-Camp families. Parents should drive to the campus along Craigie Street and turn onto Buckingham Street where the "live" drop off and pick up line will begin. Parents should pull to the far right side of the road and line up behind the other camp family cars. The live line will continue to proceed around the corner to Parker Street.
Parents should not "park" along Buckingham St or Parker St as this is a "live" line.
Parents are to stay in the driver's seat moving forward with the line and allow the camper to exit their vehicle when the line has stopped and a counselor is available to assist your camper out of the car. Campers will enter the campus via the Parker Street door to the gymnasium.
If you must park your car and walk your camper in to camp, you will need to park in and around campus. There is limited parking available so please be prepared for this challenge. NO family will be permitted to PARK in the LIVE pick up/drop off line on Buckingham Street or Parker Street.
ALL CAMP WEEKS (Excluding Pre Camps and Post Camps)
Pre K, K, and Grades 1 and 2: Parents are required to park in the designated lot and walk in with their camper to their classroom as well as pick up campers up in this same classroom. No live drop off or pick up is available for this age group. Please park only in the MAIN SCHOOL LOT at 80 Gerry’s Landing Road by entering via the far parking lot entrance as the lot is a one-way loop. The Pre K and K groups will be in the community room, which is a left after entering the main doors. The first grade rooms are on the right as you walk through the main entrance. The second grade rooms are on the second floor of the building, just above the main entrance. Parents are required to drop off and pick up the children from these designated locations. Counselors will be available at the school entrance to guide families to their child's classroom.
Grades 3-4 and Football Clinic: Parents in this group are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Live Drop-off and the Live Pick-up Line at the MAIN SCHOOL BUILDING at 80 Gerry’s Landing Road. For Live Drop-off or Live Pick-up please enter the first driveway in front of the main building (right before the traffic light) on 80 Gerry’s Landing Road. Children must enter/exit the car immediately as parking in this area or idling will not be permitted. At drop off, counselors will be available to escort your child to their group and classroom at drop off. At pick up, counselors will direct children to their family car and ensure their safe entrance into their car. Should you have a need to park, please park only in the MAIN school lot at 80 Gerry’s Landing Road by entering via the far parking lot entrance as the lot is a one-way loop. If you choose to park you must escort your child into the main entrance of the building.
Grades 5-7, and Sports Academy: Parents in this group are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Live Drop-off and the Live Pick-up Line at the ATHLETIC CENTER. There will be NO parking at the Athletic Center Parking Lot at any time. Should you have a need to park, please park only in the MAIN school lot at 80 Gerry’s Landing Road by entering via the far parking lot entrance as the lot is a one-way loop. After parking, please walk back up to the Athletic Center to either drop off or pick up your child.
Exception: Crew Week 1 takes place during Pre-Camp and as such, these camp families may park at the Athletic Center and walk their child into the building. There will be no live pick up line during this Pre Camp week.
Exception: Football Clinic: these campers may be dropped off at the Main School Building. Our counselors will guide the football players to the field.
CIT's: Parents in this group are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Live Drop-off at the ATHLETIC CENTER. There will be NO parking at the Athletic Center Parking Lot at any time. Should you have a need to park, please park only in the MAIN school lot at 80 Gerry’s Landing Road by entering via the far parking lot entrance as the lot is a one-way loop. After parking, please walk back up to the Athletic Center to either drop off or pick up your child. Pick-Up for CIT's will be at the location of your child's group. For example, if your CIT is working with 3rd graders, you will follow the pick up directions above pertaining to Grade 3.
SIBLINGS: In order to assist those families dropping off and/or picking up multiple children at our camp this summer, a single live drop off and pick up location should be used for siblings in grades 3-8. Siblings should be dropped off and/or picked up at the drop off and/or pick up location of the youngest child as detailed above.
For example: If you have a 2nd grader and a 6th grader: you will drop off and pick up both children at the 2nd grader's location detailed above (The Main School Building). Counselors will be available to ensure your children are directed to their appropriate building and class room.
** Please note, if one of your children is in Pre-K, K, grade 1 or 2, you must park in the lot as detailed above to drop off or pick up as live pick up and drop off lines are not available for this age group.
Late Pick-Up from Regular 3:30 Dismissal: Any camper not picked up from their counselor/group by 3:30 will be considered late. By 3:45, all late children will be brought to the camp office and families will be charged the Extended Day Daily rate and placed in the care of our Extended Day Program. Families late in picking up their children will be charged the Extended Day Daily rate regardless of the amount of time the child spends in our Extended Day program.
Late Pick-Up from Extended Day: Any camper not picked up from the Extended Day program promptly by 5:30 will be considered late. At 5:45, all late children will be brought to the camp office and families will be charged an additional Extended Day Daily rate for that day. Repeated or extreme lateness may result in the loss o f any future participation in the Extended Day Program for that family.
