BB&N 2007-2008 Program Diversity Guide (PDF)

PNSC (Parent Network to Support Students of Color)
The mission of PNSC is to improve the quality of the educational experience at BB&N for students of color through support of continued recruitment of students and faculty of color. PNSC assists in the development of educational programs specifically relevant to their experiences. They participate in fund-raising activities and serve as both a support group for students and a resource/advisory group to the School as well. PNSC has monthly meetings at the US and the LS. For more information, contact Joyce Allen-Beckford, Assistant Director of Multicultural Services (617-800-2443).

CGSA (Community Gay Straight Alliance)
The group was established to promote community respect for, support, and understanding of sexual diversity. Faculty, administrators, staff, parents, and guardians interested in supporting, celebrating, and discussing community issues around sexuality are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Joyce Allen-Beckford, Assistant Director of Multicultural Services (617-800-2443).

Grandparent Programs
Grandparents of BB&N students are always welcome to attend cultural, athletic, and other events held at the School throughout the year. A calendar listing many of these events can be found online at www.bbns.org. In addition, BB&N hosts a number of special events for grandparents throughout the year, including Grandfriends’ Days on the Lower and Upper School campuses when grandparents and special friends of current students are invited to attend classes and experience the School firsthand.

BB&N offers Inclusiveness Training throughout the academic year on all three campuses. These sessions, which are repeated to offer an opportunity for broad participation, provide accurate information and open discussions on important subjects. Discussions during the year will include: Culture, Sexual Orientation, Race, and Class. Please refer to the BB&N Notebook and for specific dates and times.

To register, please contact one of your Campus Parent Association Vice-Presidents or Parent Representatives, or call Assistant Director of Multicultural Services Joyce Allen-Beckford at 617-800-2443.
