Parents' Association
The purpose of the Parents’ Association (PA) is to help maintain a strong,
cooperative, and friendly relationship between parents and the School, and
to support the School’s mission. It provides opportunities for all parents to
be involved in the life of the School. It seeks to encourage communication
between parents and the School, among parents through its network of
representatives and through its many programs. In addition, the Association
holds fundraisers to further support the School’s mission.
The Parents' Association is comprised of all members of the parent body. All PA meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend and volunteer opportunities are available to all. For those who wish to play a larger role in communication, there is an opportunity to be a Parent Representative. At the Lower School, Parent Reps are organized by classroom; at the Middle and Upper Schools, by grade level. Each campus PA has a Vice-President and Assistant Vice-President who work closely with the campus Director to plan PA meetings and coordinate parent activities. There is also an all-school Executive Board, made up of the following officers:
- President
- Executive Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- LS Vice-President and Assistant Vice-President
- MS Vice-President and Assistant Vice-President
- US Vice-President and Assistant Vice-President
- Admission Ambassador Coordinator
- Parent Network to Support Students of Color Representatives
- Athletic Program Liaison
The Executive Board meets monthly to oversee both campus-specific and school-wide PA activities, to discuss issues that may arise and to work on areas in which parents and the school can work more closely together. These meetings are often attended by the Head of School.
