After School Program

The overarching goal of our After School Program is to offer our BB&N students an enriching and fun environment that students can enjoy, and a stress-free, high-quality program that parents can rely on. Our MS After School Program provides coverage each school day from dismissal to 5:30 PM for BB&N enrolled students on days that the LOWER SCHOOL is in session. As our MS program is hosted by our Lower School Staff, on the Lower School Campus, care is only provided on days that the LOWER SCHOOL is in session.

After School Coverage available at the LS Campus for all MS students

MS students are given a snack and then supervised by the LS After School Team as they get a head start on homework, light reading, quiet work, or free play.

Free! We do not charge a fee for this service. As a result, there is no need to "register," pre-register, or create an account for this service. The responsibility is on the MS student to attend MSX or not depending on your family's interests and needs.

Dates
: Available throughout the school year based on the LS After School Program schedule. MSX is not available on LS closing days or LS 1/2 days.

Times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM and Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The MS student is required to check in with the After School Lead Teacher upon arrival at the LS. Students must come directly to LS from MS dismissal. Late arrivals due to stops at local stores, restaurants, etc, will not be permitted. Unfortunately we cannot provide coverage on days when the MS dismisses BEFORE the opening of LS After School Program as noted above.

Dismissal Information

Dismissal from the US: On days that the MS students are dismissed from the US, students may take a BB&N shuttle bus from the Athletic Center to the LS.

Dismissal from the MS: On days the MS students are released from the MS, students are expected to walk to the LS Campus.

Transportation Town Busses: If your child is registered for the Transportaion bus from BB&N to their hometown, they do not need MSX coverage. Transportation children will do the following depending on the day of the week:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: Dismissal is at the US so bus kids will stay at the US to catch their transportation bus home.

Wed and Fri: On game days (Mon and/or Fri) it is likely that Transportation kids will miss the transportation bus home and parents should arrange for alternate transportation for their child. If there are no games on either Wed or Fri Transportation children will stay at the MS in a campus organized Study Hall until the Shuttle bus picks them up to take them from the MS to the US to catch their Transportation bus home.
