Project Oceanology

In the fifth grade year, the class participates in Project Oceanology, an environmental awareness and team-building experience at state-of-the-art facilities in Groton, Connecticut. Project O, as it is popularly called, is a full-fledged marine science and environmental education program that takes place at a 22,000-square-foot building and uses a variety of oceanographic equipment and vessels. Project O does a tremendous job of accomplishing its mission: to nurture interest and enthusiasm for science and our planet’s marine environment. BB&N teachers accompany the students on this trip and share in all activities.
