During these meetings, students practice problem sets similar to those given at various math competitions. The group discusses strategies and techniques to best solve these problems. In addition, students learn math topics generally not included in the BB&N math curricula. In addition to the twice-weekly practices, an expectation is that students will attend math competitions (as space permits); these include 2 to 3 off-campus team competitions per month.

Taken in combination with two sessions of Health and Fitness, a student fulfills his/her athletic requirement for the season. Signing up for the After-School Math Team is by season but it is only be offered in Fall and Winter. Students may choose either the Fall or Winter season.

After-School Math is limited to 12 students per term. If there is additional interest, preference will be given to upperclassmen and/or students that demonstrate the greatest aptitude.
