Campaign Soars Past $54 Million Mark
With the generous support of the BB&N community of parents, alumni/ae, past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends, BB&N recently reached two important fund-raising goals: the Opening Minds Campaign has surpassed the $54 million mark toward its $62 million goal, and the 2007-08 Annual Fund reached its goal of $2.35 million.
"Both the annual operating support provided by the Annual Fund each year and the increased endowment and campus improvements supported by our capital campaign are crucial to ensure our continued financial stability," notes Head of School Rebecca T. Upham.
Under the leadership of John Reichenbach (P'05,'12), Trustee and Parent Chair of the Annual Fund, Debbie Shalom (P'09), Parent Co-Chair of the Annual Fund, and members of the Annual Fund Executive Committee including Amy Sassoon (P '09,'11), Mina Paul (P'10,'15), Chris Kauders (P '11), Amy Grossman (P '16), and Tom Janes (P '17,'19), the critical message of the Annual Fund was enthusiastically communicated and received by parents this past year.
Director of Annual Giving Jo-Ann Lovejoy notes, "The BB&N community continues to make a strong commitment to the Annual Fund each year which enables the School to fill the critical gap between tuition and the true cost of a BB&N education. Each and every gift is valued and impacts the experience of every BB&N student. Quite simply, we could not achieve the Annual Fund goal each year without a community of support and we are grateful to those who have made the BB&N Annual Fund a priority."
Adds Opening Minds Campaign Chair and Trustee Shelly Nemirovsky (P'16, '17,'19 ), "As we conclude the third year of the public phase of the Campaign, we are thrilled at the additional support we have received for BB&N's endowment and building priorities to enable us to reach this important milestone. In the final two years of the Campaign we look forward to reaching out to more members of the BB&N community for their support of these critical objectives."
