Papagianopoulos Earns Gold Medal at Bay State Games

BB&N Junior Derek Papagianopoulos proudly captured a gold medal in wrestling at the annual Bay State Summer Games tournament. Named Prep School All-America wrestler last year, Papagianopoulos dominated the 215-pound weight class at the Bay State Games, pinning all four of his opponents in the finals.
Papagianopoulos is a two-sport star at BB&N -- in addition to being a cornerstone of the Knights’ successful wrestling program, he is a standout running back and linebacker for the football team in the fall.
Also winning a medal at the Bay State Games was Papagianopoulos’ mentor, BB&N Wrestling Coach Adam Holland, who finished in third in the 225-pound Open Division at the age of 36.
