BB&N Students Volunteer at 2009 Special Olympics

Organized by the US parent committee and US Community Service Club, a group of 20 students recently volunteered at the 2009 Special Olympics in Worcester, Mass., providing assistance during basketball and bowling events.

"The mission of Special Olympics Massachusetts (SOMA) is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of well-coached Olympic tyoe sports for individuals with mental retardation, or closely related developmental disabilities by continuing to provide them with continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness.
