After School: Middle School Extension
 Welcome to our new Middle School Extension program, aka....MSX! At MSX we offer After School coverage for BB&N Middle School Students from school dismissal until 5:30 each day Monday through Friday during the school year on full days of school. We do not offer MSX on half days of school. Children who are not picked up promptly at dismissal time are strongly encouraged to participate in our MSX program. For the safety of our students we ask that no child be left unattended on our campus. MSX is open to all students at all times on regular school days (MSX is not available on half days). No pre-registration is required.
Children report directly to the MSX classroom #1B (and #1A as needed) to check in immediately following dismissal. Children are given snacks and are supervised as they get a head start on their homework, light reading, or quiet work. This program runs on a monthly basis and is open to all MS students. No need to pre-register for your MSX days!!! We have made it even simpler for your child to participate. Simply register online by setting up an account. Select MSX Daily (zero dollar purchase). Now you dont have to commit to certain days to participate. Simply have your child join us at MSX whenever you need or want. We will keep track of attendance and bill you at the end of every month by adding their attendance days to your account. Its that easy!!! QUICK FACTS: Shuttle Bus: when children are dismissed from the US (Mon, Tues, Thur) the BBN shuttle will bring children from the Athletic Center to the MS as needed. No Athletic Games: If there are no games on either Wed or Thurs, children will need to be picked up by their parents at dismissal (3:15) or they must be registered for MSX coverage. Children will not be permitted to hang around the MS campus after dismissal. Transportation Town Busses: If your child is registered for Transportation from BBN to their home town, these children are required to participate in MSX on Fridays when there is no games at 2:15 and until the bus arrives at 3:15. There is no fee for this MSX coverage for Bus children but the adult supervision of these children is required. Can my child go to the market to get a snack after school dismissal before heading to MSX? No. Students are required to report directly to MSX immediately after school dismissal. Late or unexcused tardiness to MSX is an infraction that will result in the child receiving an academic slip. Repeated or serious offenses may result in a child’s removal from the program either on a temporary basis or a permanent basis as determined by After School Program director. Cant my child simply wait with friends after school until I can pick him/her up? Do they really have to go to MSX if Im not there to pick them up at dismissal time? No. Students are required to be supervised on campus at all times. If you cannot pickup at dismissal time, we strongly encourage your child to join us in MSX. For the safety of our students we ask for parents' cooperation with this effort. So how do I register for MSX? Register once and start an account. Once you have an account, your child can come to MSX any time they want. We will keep track and at the end of the month we will bill you for your child's attendance. Its that easy!!
