Academic Support
On occasion, concerns may arise regarding a student’s academic, social, or emotional well-being. We encourage a team approach in working with our students. The Lower School Directors, parents, homeroom teacher, psychologist, and reading specialists are all part of that team. Homeroom teachers meet with the School psychologist on a biweekly basis, at which time student concerns are addressed. The Lower School features four learning specialists in its faculty.
Nurse’s Office
The School Nurse’s office is located on the ground floor of the Morse Building.
School Psychologist
The School Psychologist’s Office is located on the second floor of the Bridgman House. Dr. Jacqueline Kieff consults with teachers, parents, and the Lower School Director on issues relating to the well-being of children and families at the Lower School. Dr. Kieff also holds a monthly coffee group meeting, open to all School parents. This is an opportunity for parents to discuss issues around parenting, social, and emotional development in children, and other School-related topics.
