Harry Theodore ’17 Named Max Warburg Courage Fellow
Sixth grader Harry Theodore has been named a 2011 Max Warburg Fellow based on judging of his essay for the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum. More than 2,000 essays were submitted this year. Harry’s essay described a difficult lunchtime confrontation in which he stepped out of his comfort zone and stood up “for what is right” despite his friends’ objections.
2011 marks the 20th year of the Max Warburg Fellows program, which is part of a year-long language arts curriculum that invites young people to explore their own capacity to act courageously. (Click Here for more info.) The program honors the life of Max Warburg, a courageous eleven-year-old who lost his battle with leukemia in 1991.
Harry and the other Max Warburg fellows will be honored at a special Awards Luncheon on May 13th at Northeastern University.
