MS Actors Delight Audience with "Guys and Dolls"

The Big Room on the Sparks Street campus was recently transformed into early 1950’s New York City for the Middle School performance of Guys and Dolls. The students took on the characters of gangsters, gamblers, missionary workers, and lounge singers in this wonderful rendition of Abe Burrow & Jo Swerling’s renowned musical.

Science Students Display Expertise at CTR Symposium

Four student scholars ruled the podium for an evening of enlightening presentations on nuclear energy, the Human Genome Project, food and cancer, and altered states of consciousness. For this culminating project in Current Topics and Research in Science and Technology, seniors chose their own issues to explore deeply.

Fifth Grade Tackles Lewis and Clark

BB&N fifth graders channeled their inner explorers as they tackled a production of the play Lewis and Clark this month. The production reflected curriculum study and featured period costumes and wonderful acting by all.

MLK Jr. Brunch Brings Community Together

The BB&N community gathered once again this year to commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a celebration brunch. Featuring student speakers, a visiting gospel group, and student dancer Axel Lopez ’13, the brunch hit all of the right notes.

Seven Upper School students spent a rainy Thursday evening in the Lower Gallery discussing the art pieces they have been working on in their fall and winter classes. The audience, made up of fellow students, faculty, and even a few young alumni/ae, listened intently as each student spoke passionately about his or her work.

Performer Brings Arabic Music to the Lower School

Having released four albums of Arabic folk music under the stage name “Turbo Tabla,” and having performed for audiences the world over, Karim Nagi is an international recording artist on a global level. But last week in the Lower School gymnasium, Nagi was something much more profound; he was a teacher.
