This winter, during Mud Week (no Sports), US students will be provided the opportunity to participate in an afternoon of community service with their peers.  It is a lot of fun and a great way for students to learn about local organizations where they can make a difference.  Last fall, over 90 students shared their time and talents with others on Community Service Afternoon.  Students will leave from campus after dismissal and return to campus in the late afternoon.  Sign-up sheets will be posted in the academic building beginning the week of February 20th.  Permission slips will be available at school and are due back by Monday, February 27th.  Some of the past participating organizations include: Cradles to Crayons, Youville House, Habitat/Mass Audubon Society, West End House, and Our House.  Please encourage your child to grab a friend and sign-up! Students will be awarded 3 hours of community service credit for this work.

Finally, we will need some chaperones/drivers for the event.  If you are available to drive and/or chaperone on Wednesday, February 29th from 1:00pm - 5:00pm, please contact Amy Sucoff to volunteer.

If you have any questions, please contact Faculty Community Service Coordinator Gabriela Gozenbach or parent organizers Amy Sucoff, or Peggy Fenchak Fitzgerald.
