E.E. Ford Grant Gains Critical Support from BB&N Community
A flurry of generous year-end donations from BB&N parents and past parents has resulted in the School reaching its $50,000 funding goal in order to match the Edward E. Ford Foundation's challenge grant of $50,000.
The E.E. Ford Grant is a yearlong study to assess the academic achievement of African-American and Latino students across all grade levels at BB&N. The study, being coordinated by ROSS CLARK and led by Dr. LISA GONSALVES, a professor in the Graduate School of Education at UMass Boston, has been underway at the School since the fall. The study team has been collecting data, observing classes, and conducting a variety of interviews and surveys, all focusing on the academic experience of 100 African-American, Hispanic, and mixed background students on each of BB&N's three campuses.
