Admissions

Welcome! And thank you for taking the time to get to know the three dynamic communities that make up our school. At BB&N, we seek to enroll families - never just students. Families of diverse backgrounds, talents and interests who are committed to working with us on behalf of their children. BB&N students are eager to explore. They're driven to challenge themselves, whether it's with their first chapter book or their last Calculus exam. In the end, it is more than our faculty and facilities that distinguish BB&N, it is our students, who at all ages delight in the prospect of learning.

In evaluating applicants, we consider factors such as:

  • Individual merit
  • Appropriateness of a BB&N education for the student
  • Past academic work
  • Character
  • Prospects for growth and contribution to school life
  • The overall composition and strengths of each class

Though we welcome applications from all of those who feel that they are a good fit for BB&N, our main points of entry are Pre-K and 6th, 7th and 9th grade.

"The curriculum isn't easy but students get a lot of support at BB&N. There's always someone looking out for a student, be it an advisor, coach, teacher, or someone in administration. At BB&N students find advocates and mentors and interesting adults." - Rory Morton, '81, Dean of Students, English
