Applying to the Upper School 9-12
|
The Upper School (Grades 9-12) invites applications from students who are eager to embrace the challenges of a premier educational experience that's designed to prepare them for success in college and beyond. You can download an application by clicking on the appropriate link in the sidebar, or call the Admissions Office to receive one in the mail. The written application includes information from parents, a student questionnaire and essay, grade-appropriate school and teacher reports from the student's current school, and personal recommendations. An interview is a required part of the admission process. An interview and tour can be arranged by calling the Upper School Admission Office at 617-800-2136. We consider a range of factors in making admissions decisions, including past academic work and co-curricular activities, talents and interests, potential for growth at BB&N, and potential to contribute to the school community. Applicants must submit scores for either the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) by mid-January. Deadline: The completed application form is due by January 17. See other key dates in the sidebar at right.
