Admission
There is no single BB&N “type,” and we think that's one of our strengths. Students come here with a wide range of talents and interests, from neighborhoods throughout the Greater Boston area, and from a diverse range of racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. What they have in common is a genuine curiosity about the world around them and an eagerness to learn.
Lower School
- Darrith wrote a 29-page report on Teddy Roosevelt (“the one with the bushy mustache and spectacles”), and by the time he finished, he realized that he has a lot in common with America’s 26th president.

- “I don’t like drama,” thought Manon when she started rehearsing the play, The Imaginary Invalid. By the time the curtain raised on the performance, she was thinking, “Hmm. Maybe I want to try acting.”
