Grades 9-12
Students in grades 9 to 12 are empowered to develop their skills and interests, in preparation for the bright future ahead. Through our hands-on and dynamic curriculum, students are challenged to apply foundational knowledge and creative thinking to solve problems and identify solutions.
Communication and innovation are core components of the Upper School. Students are encouraged to bring their authentic voices and appreciation for diverse perspectives to the conversation. Faculty and staff facilitate each individual’s growth, ensuring they are ready to navigate the world as a global citizen.
Upper School students experience diverse programming throughout their school day, giving them a unique and inspiring education. An exciting array of pre-college courses such as Environmental Studies, Woodworking & 3D Design, and AP Human Geography, plus classes from the Global Online Academy, deepen knowledge and prepare them for the world beyond BB&N.
Our Cambridge location and proximity to Boston afford students the chance to partner with acclaimed institutions as they bridge the gap between BB&N and the future. Throughout their work at the Upper School, students can collaborate with organizations such as History UnErased, Round Square, and MIT, or travel abroad to destinations such as Paris and Morocco.
Upper School teachers provide support to every individual student within our community. Faculty are present to mentor students and guide them through coursework and toward college preparation.
BB&N students are immersed in an environment that strives for kindness and empathy. As students begin taking their knowledge into the community through internships or service, they are encouraged to demonstrate the principles and values they cultivate at BB&N.
