Special Programs

The seventh and eighth grades are filled with enormous intellectual, social, and moral growth. During these years, they are given increasing responsibility, the opportunity to make choices, and the chance to be leaders. BB&N provides many options for Middle School students to explore these issues through special programs.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
At BB&N, community service takes a prominent role in the lives of students. It means stepping outside of the Middle School environment and doing something for the larger world, whether running a coat drive, assembling Thanksgiving Day baskets, or cleaning up the banks of the Charles. For students especially interested in serving their community, the Middle School offers a Community Service club that meets once a week to plan and implement various activities and projects.

MULTICULTURALISM
The School is dedicated to excellence in its educational programs and in personal character development. Fundamental to such excellence is an inclusive curriculum, and a diverse community where members learn to live within and to appreciate and celebrate a rich variety of cultures. To that end, BB&N offers programs throughout the academic year that celebrate and appreciate the differences within our community. These activities include academic programs, parent and student organizations, and inclusiveness training.
