Philosophy
Buckingham Browne and Nichols Middle School provides learning in all areas of human development by offering a program that challenges and nurtures the intellectual, emotional, moral, artistic, and physical growth of our students.
Our self-contained, comprehensive program for seventh and eighth graders establishes high standards with a nurturing environment in which individuals and their learning styles are supported. Each discipline, including athletics, provides a balance between critical thinking, exploration of and openness to new ideas, skill development, and mastery.
We recognize that middle school students are in the midst of rapid and profound changes intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Our co-curriculum and advisory program creates opportunities for students to learn about issues of fairness, justice and their place as emerging adults, to stretch personal limits, and to experience the satisfaction of knowing that they have much to offer others.
