Senior Named Captain of U.S. Under-19 Lacrosse Team

Graduate Sarah Bullard '07 has been named Captain of the 2007 United States Under-19 Women's Lacrosse Team that will represent the United States in the IFWLA U-19 World Championships in August in Ontario, Canada. She is the only Massachusetts player on the 18 player final roster announced May 29th by US Lacrosse.

Bullard, a 2007 Under Armour Lacrosse All-American and 2005-2006 US Lacrosse First Team High School All-American at BB&N, will attend Duke University in the fall. At BB&N's recent Upper School Closing Ceremony, she was awarded the Nichols Prize given to the female who attains the highest distinction jointly in scholarship and athletics. In her four year varsity career in soccer, hockey and lacrosse at BB&N, she was a five time captain and a six-time First Team and three time Honorable Mention All-Independent School League selection.

Bullard scored 227 goals and added 60 assists for 287 career points in 56 varsity lacrosse contests during her career at the School. The U.S. U-19 Team returns to action June 30 at the Gatorfest Tournament in Maryland.
