ISL Honors Bowman with Annual Award

The Independent Sports League has renamed the ISL Girls' Basketball Annual Sportsmanship Award in honor of two legendary former ISL coaches, one of whom is BB&N's BYRON BOWMAN. Bowman led the Girls' Basketball Team for 20 strong years before stepping down after last season.

The award, now called The Bobbie Crump-Burbank and Byron Bowman Girls' Basketball Team Sportsmanship Award, will be given out each year in honor of these coaches' contributions to ISL basketball.

During his tenure as coach, Bowman led through example, instilling the traits of respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork in hundreds of athletes. Although he will be missed on the court, Bowman will continue to teach Biology at the School.
