Job Title: Substitute Middle School Science Teacher

Responsibilities: The School seeks an experienced substitute (short term) science teacher for the Middle School (grades 7&8), joining a department of three. The position will be a full-time teaching load most likely starting in October through December.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in laboratory or environmental science or a related field and a masters' degree in education or science. A strong background in technology is required. The science program in grade seven introduces students to physical science; units include scientific method & problem-solving, energy, structures, and rocketry & Newton’s laws. Eighth grade students complete Science Fair projects to begin the year and then follow a lab-based introductory chemistry course.
